HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN STAIR LIFT SHOPPING

There are all kinds of stairway lifts available to fit different applications, from a straight half-flight to a four-story spiral. While it’s important to select the right unit for your situation, it’s just as important to carefully select the company from which you buy that unit. Installing a stairway lift might look simple to the untrained eye, but technicians who have been doing it for decades will tell you that it isn’t. Below are some points to keep in mind as you begin your search for stairway lifts.

  • Stairway Configuration: straight or curved.
  • Unit Features: folding rail, wide seat, color, etc.
  • Buy or Rent: Are you planning to stay in your home or do you plan on moving? Is the stairway lift need temporary or long term?
  • New or Used: If you are on a budget, a good way to keep costs down is to consider purchasing a used unit.
  • Choosing a Company: Do they offer free consultations? Do they have a showroom with units on display to see and try? Do they offer maintenance or service the units? Will they be in business down the road when you need part or battery?
