A Space-Saving Elevator Designed for Modern Living

Shaftless home elevators offer a simple, compact way to move safely between floors without the construction requirements of a traditional elevator. With no shaft, pit, or machine room, these two-stop systems fit beautifully into homes where space is limited or where a homeowner needs a low-impact mobility solution. Area Access helps clients compare layouts, evaluate placement options, and select finishes that complement their home’s style.

Compact Footprint for Flexible Home Designs

Shaftless home elevators arrive as pre-engineered units that require minimal structural modification. Their slim profile works exceptionally well in townhomes, remodels, and two-story homes where space efficiency is essential. Whether placed in an open area or used as a corner elevator for home layouts, this solution offers convenience in a simple, space-conscious design. For architects and builders, the straightforward specification process ensures easy integration with both modern and traditional interiors.

Affordable, Low-Maintenance Accessibility

For homeowners exploring mobility upgrades without extensive construction, shaftless home elevators deliver comfort, independence, and reliability at a lower cost and footprint. These systems function as a small elevator for home use, offering smooth, quiet operation and dependable performance with simplified maintenance requirements. They’re ideal for homeowners planning ahead with an ADA-compliant elevator alternative or supporting long-term mobility needs for aging family members.

I recently had my home elevator serviced by Area Access, Inc., and couldn’t be more pleased. Nate and Demetrius arrived right at the beginning of their promised window and were both extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable. They conducted an exhaustive inspection, cleaning, and lubrication of the entire system, explaining what they were doing along the way and answering my questions with patience and clarity. It’s rare to find technicians who take such pride in their work and treat a customer’s home with respect. I highly recommend Area Access to anyone needing reliable, top-quality elevator service.

A good experience with Area Access installing a custom Symmetry brand elevator in our home. Lynette was very helpful walking us through our options in the Showroom as we knew nothing about them. Ace Wilkins Construction did a great job building the shaft and relocating our washer!dryer. The final install team headed by Vince could not have been more professional and courteous. It’s a big job to do this, and it’s not inexpensive. We feel we made the right choice with Area Access and a Symmetry unit.

From phone conversation to measurements to installation to removal, this company was excellent. Kevin in sales was so helpful and the installation team of Kendall and Jorge couldn't be nicer and were so efficient. Only wish we had called sooner to install sooner. I completely recommend Area Access!

Wow! I was treated like I was the Prince of Wales...the King of England. We are both in our 80's and have to rely on the elevator in the townhouse. Due to a power shortage the elevator stopped working. At 8:00 AM I called their office. Amy, who answered, desires a raise in pay. Somehow, she was able to get a repair person to us in about 3 hours on the same day! Now, the elevator is working perfectly. Many thanks for helping us.
