Glickman Design Build Provides Unique Solutions for Unique Individuals
Russ Glickman is the founder and principal at Glickman Design Build. He is an expert in home design and remodeling. After 30 years of experience in the home design and remodeling industry, in 2009 he decided to refocus his efforts and utilize his personal and professional experience to help those with special needs. As the parent of a child with cerebral palsy who has lived at home since his premature birth 24 years ago, he has developed a passion to serve the special needs community.
Since 2009, the Glickman Design Build has assisted many homeowners with difficult challenges.
- They provided newfound independence for Kathleen Tevnan, who was paralyzed from a car accident, by creating a fully wheelchair accessible home for her.
- They helped the Levis family recover from tragedy by building a wheelchair accessible home after the recent death of the father who had provided lifting and carrying of the child with cerebral palsy.
- Wendy Reilly had progressive multiple sclerosis. They helped her become independent by creating a wheelchair accessible home; allowing her to be with her 10 year old son plagued by autism.
- On short notice they designed and built a ramp for Marcia Kramer so the rehab center would permit her husband to return home.
- Also on short notice they designed and built a first floor wheelchair accessible bathroom and shower for Larry Racster, an injured veteran so the rehab center would permit him to return home.
Russ Glickman has earned 35 national and local awards over his 30 year career. Russ was endorsed and featured in over 70 national and local publications including: The Washington Post, The Washingtonian Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens and many others. He was also named the “Wizard of Inner Space” by Luxury Homes Magazine. Also, he was named National Remodeler of the Year by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry for creative solutions.
